Dreamland Swing Band - Jazz der 30er Jahre aus Berlin

In the organizer's words:

The musicians in this band have been active in the Berlin jazz scene for decades and formed a swing trio together in 2016. In 2021, it was expanded into a quartet and now performs with clarinet, piano, double bass, vibraphone and vocals.

They play jazz as it was popular in the 30s and 40s. The numerous small bands of the swing era, the so-called Small Swinging Groups, with their largely freely improvised recordings of well-known jazz pieces, serve as a model. These include, of course, "Basin Street Blues" (appropriate for the home page), the inevitable "All Of Me" and classics such as "Lady Be Good", "Sweet Georgia Brown" or "Mood Indigo". But less familiar titles were also unearthed - who knows "Sweet And Slow"?
