Poems, prose and songs by Joseph von Eichendorff, Robert Schumann, stage design based on pictures by Caspar David Friedrich.
At the time of the French Revolution, the Enlightenment and the beginning of industrialization, there was already a feeling of threat from outside, and as a result a retreat into oneself, into the inner self, into feelings, into the relationship with nature. Today, as we rediscover the importance of our nature and its vulnerability, this return is significant. This evening will bring together the most important representatives of Romanticism.
