On this evening, we accompany Heine on his journey to Paris, the Mecca of liberalism at the beginning of the 19th century. These are the years after the July Revolution and Heine takes an active part in political life. He marries Mathilde in Paris. But Germany and the German question did not let him go. In November 1844, he undertook his famous trip to Germany, which he immortalized in "Deutschland ein Wintermärchen". Barbara Kleyboldt slips into the role of Heine, Rüdiger Trappmann tells the poet's life story.
