EMOTIONAL WAVES

In the organizer's words:

The exhibition shows a selection from Claude Hofer's many years of exploring contemporary dance and Butoh. In intense black and white portraits, the Swiss photographer captures moments of physical devotion, vulnerability and inner strength. His camera is not a distant eye, but part of the action - immediate and present. This is precisely why the images open up emotional spaces of experience in which movement, stillness and empathy are condensed. The faces and bodies of the dancers touch us with their unique expressiveness. The images make it possible to experience dance as a visual echo of inner states and captivate even people with no previous knowledge of dance or Butoh.
