World premiere Heidelberg Play Market

Zwinger 1

in English with German surtitles

"Erased" takes us to a greeting card factory in a world after the climate catastrophe. There, workers are forced to fulfill quotas and produce absurd greeting cards while struggling to survive in the machinery that controls and erases them. The play addresses our addiction to production in late capitalism and calls for a closer look at the state of our planet and the structures that hold us captive. A surreal blend of absurdity, black humor, political theater and poetry, "Erased" explores how the eruption of a gentle revolution becomes a flame and ignites the spirit of resistance that keeps it alive.

"Erased" premiered at the Theatre Passe Muraille in Toronto on November 22, 2024.
