Tag 2, Erzähltes Dersim 1937/38: Zeugnisse des Überlebens

In the organizer's words:

The eastern Anatolian region of Dersim was the scene of massacres committed by the Turkish military against the predominantly Alevi population in 1937-38. Expulsion and re-education measures contributed to the extensive destruction of Dersim's traditional way of life. The Dersim 1937/38 project has edited interviews with contemporary witnesses and is presenting the videos, subtitled in Kırmancki, Turkish and German, to the public.
