On April 20, 1896, cinema was born in Germany: In a hall on Cologne's Augustinerplatz, the public saw "living photographs" by Cinematograph Lumière. We are celebrating this by inviting you to a program of fantastic and entertaining silent films from the early days - accompanied live by the musical duo Rolf Springer and Kornelius Heidebrecht.
