Karla grows up in Tepoztlán, Mexico. The film follows her over eight years, from childhood to adolescence, from her first questions to a clear sense of herself. Karla is trans*, and the film shows how her identity unfolds, in conversations and looks, in clothes, in sport. A sensitive portrait that celebrates self-determination, self-expression and community.
