This workshop is aimed at both those with and without stage experience who are interested in movement, as well as theater, performance or dance practitioners who wish to explore a new form of artistic expression.
We will begin by learning the technical principles of Mime Corporel, including body segmentation, the study of triple designs and their combinations, and the study of stylistic figures to identify overweights and the physical rhythm-time relationship. In parallel, we will apply these technical aspects through improvisational exercises under specific concepts and explore the causality of movement from body to body to develop a collective muscular sensibility.
We will explore different rhythm-time dimensions - physical, musical and contextual - as well as the creation of abstract illusions within a dramatic atmosphere. Finally, we will explore the relationship between physical and musical improvisation and their narrative lines. We will take inspiration from the experiences of colleagues from the free jazz scene, with the aim of bringing both languages together in an improvisation session, either in internal form or as a public work in progress performance.
The aim of this workshop is to establish an organic continuity of this language that serves as a basis for the inner narration of the movement during the improvisation.
