FUCK THE HYPE Festival

In the organizer's words:

FUCK THE HYPE is a one-day indoor festival for indie, rap and underground sounds in the middle of Munich. On May 31, 2026, Backstage Munich will be transformed into a place for new perspectives, young musicians and real networking.

The festival was initiated by four creatives from the Munich music and art scene. As artists, producers, photographers and videographers, they have been working closely with female musicians for years and know how challenging visibility can be without a large budget or industry push. This is exactly how FUCK THE HYPE came about. As a platform that takes female artists seriously and offers them a strong live stage. Regardless of whether they are just starting out or are already established.

The festival offers eight live slots and a deliberately diverse line-up from genres such as German rap, indie pop and garage sounds. Kilean812 and @web will be among those taking part, with further acts from the German underground scene to be announced.

In addition to the event itself, FUCK THE HYPE sees itself as a growing network and a space for exchange, support and community. After a first edition with a great atmosphere and very positive feedback, the festival will enter the next round in 2026. Bigger, clearer and even more focused on community.

FUCK THE HYPE is not a commercial project, but a statement for Munich's subculture.
