Unfortunately there is bad news.

GIMMY's flight has been canceled due to the war and the associated airspace closure in the Gulf/Middle East. Many flights from Australia (Brisbane region) have also been canceled.

The band has tried to find alternative flight routes, but unfortunately the costs are not affordable.

For this reason, the band has canceled the entire tour. We hope for a better world and to be able to welcome GIMMY to the Alter Volksbad in 2027.

GIMMY is the alter ego of Australian musician Gemma Owens and stands for modern DIY rock without boundaries. With an energetic mix of garage rock, new wave, punk and folk, she combines raw directness with emotional depth.

Her songs are uncompromising and vulnerable at the same time - sometimes loud and stirring, sometimes intimate and touching. Together with her band, GIMMY unfolds an intense, energetic stage presence that hits the audience right in the heart.

With her acclaimed debut album Things Look Different Now (2024), she has established herself as one of Australia's most exciting new voices. Between 80s/90s nostalgia, post-punk energy and indie melodies, she talks about change, relationships and growing up - powerfully, honestly and with unmistakable charisma.
