Here we have TOPSY TURVY with Lena, Resi and Vic in their Spaca-Age-Glam look and the just released second album "FIGHTING THE GINORMOUS MACHO NACHO", which is irreverent, clever and always playful. With instrument swaps, operatic vocals and a dash of Van Halen synthesizers, the band weaves a restless blend of garage punk, surf, vintage rock and psychedelia that takes its cues from the legendary "Girls In The Garage" compilations and extends to the snarling defiance of Amyl and The Sniffers or Automatic. Born out of the collaborative scene of a prolific DIY scene in Vienna, it is not only the band's most focused work to date, but also a high song of the independent spirit, a living, breathing rebellion against toxic "macho nacho" men the world over.
SALAMIRECORDER recorded his latest album "Inside The Cage" entirely by himself with his 4-track recorder on tape. Live he presents with his backing band "The Hi-Fi Phonos" a perfect mix of 60s back from the grave garage punk and a touch of early trash mixtape powerpop or something ... weirder, louder, and always haunting!
