"The City is mine!" roars the charged 19-year-old Tommy, known for his brutal internet videos, after an uninhibited night of clubbing before collapsing on the street. The next morning, he wakes up chained up in a cellar. His kidnappers turn out to be a seemingly normal bourgeois family. But what do these psychos - the iron-fisted Chris (Stephen Graham), his fragile wife Katherine (Andrea Riseborough) and son Jonathan - with the ghostly frozen smile have in mind for Tommy? The angry young man is about to learn a bitter lesson and no one can hear his screams in the idyllic country estate far from the city.

Masterfully acted and technically at the highest level, Jan Komasa (SUICIDE ROOM, Oscar nomination for CORPUS CHRISTI) directs a tough psychological thriller that "The Guardian" compares to Kubrick's A CLOCKWORK ORANGE.
