The opening film of DOK.fest München 2026 approaches the writer Ingeborg Bachmann through her own words. At the center: Bachmann's own texts, her literature, her letters and diaries. Using archive material and a fictional level, in which Ingeborg Bachmann is embodied by Sandra Hüller in the last years of her life in Rome, a cinematic portrait is created that makes the author readable in a new way. The texts enter into a dialog with current debates about gender relations and power (Germany/Austria 2026, Director: Regina Schilling, approx. 90 min.)
