Ingenium Ensemble (Slovenia)

Founded in 2009, the Ingenium Ensemble is now one of the most renowned and influential vocal ensembles in Slovenia. With its subtle sound, the sextet's repertoire ranges from sacred Renaissance music to jazz and pop songs and also pays particular attention to folk songs and compositions from its homeland.
In 2014, the Slovenians came second in our a cappella competition, in Tolosa, Spain, they came first and have since received further awards. Their program "Journey of Life" takes us on a musical journey through life from birth to youth to death - and beyond. Sacred and secular works are combined in six musical stations - alongside folk songs and popular pieces from Slovenia by Orlando di Lasso, Johann Christoph Bach, Edward Bairstow and Eric Whitacre, among others.
