Jarnoth: MEIN EGO ZWINGT MICH DAZU

In the organizer's words:

A one-man comedy revue on two square meters, in which puppetry, dance, singing and piano sounds meet harsh reality.

Jarnoth tells - and plays - his life. In his mid-thirties, with no family or possessions other than a doll's house in which he lives with his puppets.

Instead of being a mortician, he became an artist, and now the roof of reality is falling on his head. Between cheap hotels, expensive lamps and questionable dates, he struggles between art and bank account, longing and self-doubt.

With unsparing humor and tender despair, Jarnoth lets his audience look deep into the beautifully illuminated abysses of self-dramatization. He tells of big feelings in small moments, of the fear of failure and the necessity of continuing to play because life itself is sometimes nothing more than a stage.

An evening about the art of inventing oneself and the consolation that even puppets are sometimes more honest than people.
