Jazz im Dreierpack - JA!ZZevau meets Kammgarn

One evening, three bands with a regional connection, three times jazz at its finest. That's jazz in a 3-pack. This year's event is once again presented by JA!ZZevau Kaiserlautern in cooperation with the Kammgarn. The formation Akkordarbeit, the Titus Weidenfels Trio and theVolker-Klimmer Band will be performing.

Akkordarbeit
In the Akkordarbeit project, four musicians with a wealth of expertise in different genres come together and allow their individual experiences to merge into a stylistic fusion of tradition and modernity on a global sound journey. From poetic and atmospheric to energetic jazz improvisations, the dynamic range is exploited with great enthusiasm. The performance at Jazz im 3erPack is also the project's concert premiere.

Titus Weidenfels Trio
The Titus Waldenfels Trio combines musical versatility, virtuoso improvisation and humorous lightness. With a repertoire ranging from jazz standards and blues classics to chanson and pop, the trio creates a unique cosmos of sound - sometimes whimsical, always sophisticated and entertaining. The combination of Waldenfels' instrumental diversity, Caputula's expressive voice and Jung's rhythmic precision unites tradition and modernity in an inimitable way. Live, the trio impresses with swinging jazz standards, bluesy classics and humorous chansons - interpreted with great improvisational freedom!

Volker Klimmer Band
Since its beginnings, the Volker-Klimmer Band has stood for musical passion, team spirit and an unmistakable sound. Founded by Volker Klimmer, the ensemble has been combining the highest musical quality with a palpable joy of playing for many years. To this day, Klimmer works with a well-coordinated team of musicians who share his artistic vision and carry it forward with energy, openness and precision. The focus is on Volker Klimmer's characteristic playing, which moves confidently between free improvisation and sensitive accompaniment. With a keen instinct, he creates spaces in which his fellow players can unfold. He lays down a supporting carpet of sound on which melodies grow, meet and develop. His special harmonies, which give the music depth and color, shape the overall sound. The balance of freedom and restraint creates a musical dialog that carries, connects and focuses on the interplay. In this way, the Volker-Klimmer Band creates a sound that is simultaneously open, powerful and cohesive - lively, atmospheric and authentic.
