In Psycho Royal, things go haywire between politics, society and the completely normal inner state of emergency. Kathi takes the zeitgeist apart, fights her way through her own flights of fancy and crash landings and takes the audience into her world, viewed through the eyes of a psychologist. Between feminism and the desire for peace, destigmatization and escapism, self-dramatization and the search for meaning, Kathi moves unerringly through the neuroses of our time with her established mix of political cabaret, stand-up comedy and music. Psycho Royal is not a classic stage program - it is an invitation to collective self-diagnosis. A humorous therapy session without a health insurance card, but with guaranteed laughter and surprising aha moments. Or, to put it in Kathi's words: in the end, we're all a bit psycho - the only question is how royally we deal with it.
