Under the title "Liebe und was sonst noch Leidenschaf(f)t", the Ensemble Unverhofft presents a subtle and sharp-tongued revue about fluttering hearts, relationship confusion, lust for life and glittering crises. In a colorful mix of styles from chanson, pop, touching ballads and cheeky relationships, the selection of songs ranges from Knef to Piaf, from Friedrich Hollaender to Ina Müller, from Basta to Barbara Schöneberger - and always right into the thick of life. And anyone who knows Die Unverhofften knows that they don't just perform songs, but also engage in humorous verbal battles on the subject of love and other ailments.
The two frontwomen Melitta Bach and Daniela Kunzen take the audience through loud nights, quiet doubts, shrill numbers and tender confessions. They sing and play their way through the evening in a multi-faceted way, from drama queen to pithy guy, from grand gestures to quiet, intimate moments - with a lot of charm, empathy and sympathetic authenticity. They complement each other in their character and vocal differences to form an "unexpected" unit.
Daniel Krüger accompanies them skillfully and with stylistic confidence through all genres on the piano, creating atmospheric soundscapes with his sensitive playing. And almost incidentally, the "quota man" (and involuntary male victim of the ladies) rounds off the cabaret events on stage with his mime and commentary - when he does get a chance to speak. "Liebe und was sonst noch Leidenschaf(f)t" is an evening for the heart, the stomach muscles and for all those who know that there is definitely not enough glitter on the ground of facts....
