Konzert des Fördervereinsorchester der Dresdner Philharmonie - Böhmen 1880

The concert "Bohemia 1880" invites you on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 5:00 pm to a sonorous journey through time in the Dresden Kreuzkirche. The focus is on three masterpieces of Czech music history that reflect an era of artistic flourishing. While Bedřich Smetana created a national monument with his tone poem "The Moldau", Antonín Dvořák celebrated international success with his 6th Symphony. The program is complemented by excerpts from Leoš Janáček's Suite Idyla, a work full of youthful charm.

The concert will be performed by the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, which will be joined on this evening by members of the Dresden Philharmonic. Under the direction of Wolfgang Hentrich, passion and precision merge to create a special listening experience. With this concert, the organizer, the Dresden Philharmonic Society, is drawing attention to our neighbors and celebrating the deep cultural ties in the festive acoustics of the Kreuzkirche.
