A race against time between the past and the future
Simply set off, explore the city - and solve a criminal case along the way: The Berlin Tegel Crime Trail combines a relaxed walk with real investigative work. Equipped with your smartphone, you follow clues, talk to suspects and try to find out what happened, piece by piece. You set your own pace, route and strategy - that's what makes the game so appealing.
It all begins with an inconspicuous scene: an abandoned sports bag is handed in at the Tegel Citizens' Office. Only at second glance do you notice that there are traces of blood on it. The contents raise further questions - including an identity card belonging to a man who was released from the prison at the airport lake just a few days ago. Since then, there has been no trace of him. Has he gone into hiding? On the run? Or is there more to it than that?
The deeper you delve into the case, the more complex the picture becomes. Several people close to him become the focus of the investigation. Some seem cooperative, others evasive. Was his time in prison the trigger for what is happening now? Or is there something going on in the background that goes far beyond his past?
As you collect clues, you move through Tegel - between the historic Borsig factories, the tranquil shores of Lake Tegel and the lively streets around Alt-Tegel. Places such as the Sechserbrücke bridge, the oldest tree in Berlin or the modern Humboldt Library will become stops on your investigation - sometimes obvious, sometimes surprising.
This crime trail thrives on you finding your own way, making decisions and sometimes getting it wrong.
