Kunst & Kampf mit Hubertus Koch und Olivier David

Start of a new series of talks at Haus 73! Starting in April, writer Olivier David will be inviting artists and media professionals four times a year to talk to them about their relationship between art and struggle. What personal and political struggles do they face - and how is this expressed in their art? The conversations offer space for the backstory behind publications and everyday media life. Today's guest is Hubertus Koch.

Hubertus "Hubi" Koch is a freelance journalist, author and filmmaker. He has already won various awards for his films, including the German Television Award in 2016 and the Grimme Online Award in 2019. His latest book "Lost Boy" was published in 2025.

Olivier David is a writer. His first book "Keine Aufstiegsgeschichte - Warum Armut psychisch krank macht" was published in 2022 and premiered at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg in 2026. His essay collection "Von der namenlosen Menge" was published in 2024.
