The young, talented chef Hassan and his family leave their home country of India and end up in the idyllic village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the south of France - just the right place to open an Indian restaurant. Madame Mallory, on the other hand, doesn't like this at all: the cool-headed Frenchwoman is the boss of "Le Saule Pleureur", a Michelin-starred French restaurant just a few steps away from the new, lively Indian restaurant.
