MAKATUMBE put global dance and pop music into the mixer and hit the dance button. The result is something you've never heard before. That's a promise!

That's why MAKATUMBE 's line-up is just as diverse in its sound and lively stage presence as their music: vocal acrobatics and clarinet spread out with beatbox, ragamuffin, fantasy language and overtone singing on a melodic accordion sound wave that rolls on a massive groove framework of bass and drums. Synth and guitar also thicken the sound.

The melodies fly, the bass pushes and the music, the audience, the band, simply everything becomes one. THAT'S MAKATUMBE!

For the audience favorites and two-time winners of the "Creole Global Music Contest", the size of the stage doesn't matter. It's all about what music can move, the moment, the audience and the joy of going wild with music.
