This is about unconditional love, cultural diversity and integration in action. With this book, daughters celebrate their mothers: women who have come to Germany from all over the world to find a new home here.

The "My Migrant Mama" team is trying to help give the migrant women artists community more visibility and wants to look at migration from a new perspective. They talk about language, work, culture, education, mothers, daughters, integration and much more. The authors, Melisa & Manik, are winners of the German Integration Award and have been honored by the German government as cultural and creative pilots.

Melisa Manrique was born in Lima and grew up in Rome - migration has always been part of her story. Her parents' courage to start a new life without a social network or knowledge of the language was a lasting inspiration to her. She has lived in Berlin for a decade and is a proud migrant mom herself. As co-founder of the organization "My Migrant Mama", she is committed to the visibility and self-empowerment of FLINTA*s with a history of migration. With her work, she creates creative platforms for dialog and intercultural exchange and celebrates diversity as a strength. As a speaker and activist, she inspires through personal stories and innovative formats that encourage and build bridges. | Event with childcare
