FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION WEEK

Who can we still believe? Is "truth" a matter of interpretation? How far does freedom of opinion go? And how can we distinguish between facts and fake news? The historian Ruth Hoffmann, who analyzes in her book "Raubzug von rechts" (Goldmann) how the AfD abuses liberal-democratic values for its own purposes, will discuss this as part of the nationwide "Woche der Meinungsfreiheit". Journalist and bestselling author Hasnain Kazim, who deals with the fight for democracy and religious tolerance in "Der Islam und ich" (Penguin), among other books.
And the journalist and podcaster Sally Lisa Starken, who poses the question of our time in her current book "Wenn der rechte Rand regiert" (Heyne): What kind of world do we want to wake up to tomorrow? An evening about the importance of freedom of expression for our democracy.
