Tara Bouman (clarinet, bass clarinet)
Markus Stockhausen (trumpet, flugelhorn)
The concert with MOVING SOUNDS will feature harmonic compositions by both artists, as well as improvised and above all intuitive music. They choose their music according to the acoustics and vibrations of the room, the time of day and the mood of the moment. The audience can look forward to new, intimate and meditative sounds. The Indian mystic and musician Hazrat Inayat Khan said: "Music is the language of the soul."
The clarinet virtuoso Tara Bouman and the exceptional trumpeter and musical border crosser Markus Stockhausen have been playing together as the duo MOVING SOUNDS since 2002. The broad spectrum of MOVING SOUNDS' sound design, which ranges from profound lines to cheerful buzzing and exuberant exaltation, is appreciated by both experts and listeners. MOVING SOUNDS has played numerous concerts in Italy, Switzerland, England, Norway, Holland, France, Spain, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Israel, Russia, the USA, Chile and above all in Germany.
Markus Stockhausen:"We live in a new age, and so we try to make music that corresponds to the way we experience it today. It stems from a new consciousness that leaves old structures behind and prepares new ones. It's no longer about higher, faster, further, about a certain style or a certain message. It is about authenticity, a true expression of sound, an openness and willingness, a sensitivity, making music with very receptive antennae for inspiration and a comprehensive perception."
Musica Sacra - music that leads inwards, that makes you quiet
Musica Sacra aptly describes the momentum of the intuitively played music by Tara Bouman and Markus Stockhausen. Before a concert, the two musicians try to empty themselves of everyday life and world events in order to be fully attuned to what they want to play.
"This moment carries an intimacy that also allows the listener to feel that they are contributing to the creation of this music - by being there. Nothing arbitrary should be created, but depth, breadth, purity. A longing can be heard in the sounds, a speaking, calling, rejoicing, until the sounds merge and the music seems like silence." (Tara Bouman)
