MULHOLLAND DRIVE
USA/F 2001 - 147' - Original language - Director: David Lynch
Betty comes from the country and wants to become an actress in Hollywood. So it's a good thing that her rich aunt asks her to look after her aunt's house in LA. As she tries to make herself at home in the L.A. apartment, a stranger suddenly appears in her shower. She is completely confused and has been injured in a mysterious car accident in which she was the only survivor. Instead of calling the police, Betty befriends the mysterious stranger and tries to find out who she is. Change of scene: Young director Adam Kesher is vain and independent. No one has ever told him who he should cast for a leading role in one of his films. But this time he jumps over his shadow. The strange, extremely threatening backers from mafia circles persuade him to make an exception after some "persuasion" from the cowboy.
