Naturkundliche Exkursion über die Halde Zollern

In the organizer's words:

The excursion starts from the Zollern colliery to the nearby Zollern slag heap, which was abandoned in 1958. A wild, primeval pioneer forest has developed here on the stony, coal-rich ground, which is home to jays and woodpeckers.
After crossing the 15-metre-high landscaped structure, some of which is equipped with steps, the tour leads along the Dellwiger Bach stream. On the way, you will discover the animal and plant species of the various habitats and learn interesting facts about the changes in the mining landscape.
