Instrument making with Meike Redeker, Sofia Burchardi and Niko Burchardi (Studio 3) Build simple sound generators yourself: Thunder drums, ocean drums and rain pipes
(for all age groups, entry possible at any time)

14:00-15:15

Play flow & water vortex with Zoë Tomruk (hall)
We let the element of water inspire us as we improvise together with movement, voice and language.
(for children from 5 years with adults, 2 workshops, starting at 14:00 and 14:40)

14:00-15:30

Parent-child drumming with Judith Thimm (Studio 2)
We give the drums a language and let them tell stories.
(for children aged 2-8 with adults, 2 workshops, starting at 14:00 and 14:50)

Making shadow worlds with Marie Donath, Ursula Seeger (Studio 1)
Using recycled materials and clay, we build a world together, which we enlarge and transform with light, shadows and effects.
(for children of all ages with adults, entry possible at any time)

Word magic with Suse Schröder (library)
We play with words and their sounds, tell and write stories.
(for children aged 6-9 with adults, 2 workshops, starting at 14:00 and 14:50)

Family concert: "Of cardboard boxes and sounding things" (hall)

25-minute sound performance with large cardboard boxes and sound generators
followed by a hands-on sound lab (for children of all ages with adults)

Soundwalk 1 for families with Thomas Gerwin (meeting point at 16:45 at the front of the street)
Excursion into the "symphony of everyday life": an audio journey to sonically interesting places around the exploratorium.

16:45-18:15

I am a living object with Mar Taulés (room)
We play with everyday objects such as plastic bags, egg cartons or PET bottles and let them inspire us to create movement and improvised parent-child stories. (for children aged 4 and over with adults, 3 workshops, starting at 16:45, 17:15 and 17:45)

Everything that sounds with Kathrin von Kieseritzky (Studio 2)
Salad bowls, mixing buckets and spoons - no, we don't want to cook together, we want to make music with them. Come and try it out.

We immerse ourselves in the subtle transitions between movement, breath and words.
A common flow emerges from small impulses - clear, light and awake.
Improvisation as presence: listening, responding, transforming.
(for adults, 3 workshops, starting at 18:30, 19:00 and 19:30)

Sound workshop with Matthias Schwabe (Studio 2)
A large selection of unusual sound generators is waiting to be explored by curious people. With the help of tried and tested rules, we will invent music together with "unheard" sounds.

The following applies to all offers: No previous experience is necessary, everyone is welcome!

The courses are held in German, translation into English is (usually) possible.
