Haiko Hübner, Ulrike Möhlenbeck: Patricio Bunster, Chile and the GDR. Traces of the Chilean dancer and choreographer and Corresponding Member in the history of the Academy

The workshop offers space for a dialog between the public and the archive. As part of the exhibition "Out of the Box - 75 Years of the Academy of Arts Archive", staff from all departments will provide in-depth insights into their work with artists' bequests and estates and answer questions.

Examples from archival practice illustrate how complex "working with memory" is. Whether discussions about archival "criminology" or the difficulties of archiving ephemeral works, a brief study of the materials used in architectural plans, demonstrations of text recognition with the help of AI or the digitization of old audio materials - you can experience how diverse, important and innovative the archive workplace can be.
