In its tenth edition, paper positions berlin presents over 60 international galleries with outstanding positions from contemporary and modern art with a focus on drawing and paper as a material.

From April 30 - May 3, 2026, parallel to Gallery Weekend in Berlin, paper positions berlin will once again take place in the impressive main hall of the iconic Berlin-Tempelhof Airport, which covers over 2,500 square meters.

The move to the main hall of Tempelhof Airport marks a significant step in the development of paper positions berlin and underlines its growing importance within the art and trade fair landscape. 65 galleries from 18 countries at the last edition attracted more than 16,000 visitors. The new location not only enables a more intensive examination of paper as a material, but also emphasizes the special concept of the fair: instead of classic booths, paper positions berlin focuses on the format of a curated art salon. The spacious interior design and open architecture of the main hall open up new scope for the participating galleries to present their positions in the field of paper art in a diverse and impressive way.

In the German-speaking world, paper positions berlin is the only art fair at which galleries present a broad spectrum of outstanding works from the present, modernism and the 19th century - and thus offer collectors and visitors a concentrated and high-quality insight into the special artistic medium of paper.

In 2026, the public can once again expect an ambitious and diverse supporting program with renowned awards, special exhibitions and other highlights as part of paper positions berlin.

With an expanded ceramic positions section, we are focusing on another artistic material - ceramics! The curated special exhibition shows selected artistic positions in this medium and opens up a contrasting dialog with the works on paper in the main part of the fair.
