Slow Club Freiburg presents: PARLOR SNAKES

PARLOR SNAKES
is a versatile project with the French-American duo Eugénie Alquezar / Peter K. at its core.

After their rock'n'roll-inspired debut album "Let's Get Gone", a self-titled, garage/blues-influenced second album (recorded in New York by Matt Verta-Ray) and the dark, psychedelic third album "Disaster Serenades", Parlor Snakes are now developing in the direction of darker ambient sounds.

Conceived in their Paris studio, "Cut Shadows" announces the return of Eugénie and Peter, who produced this fourth album entirely by themselves, from recording to production.
An album full of vibrancy in which the dreamlike atmosphere, developed and refined with fury, fills the room like a rock guitar riff.

Their eclectic inspirations (post-punk, krautrock, dark pop, cold wave) led them to experiment with new sounds and textures without ever compromising on the melodies and lyrics, which are as important and essential as the music itself.

Their shows capture the essence of the songs, oscillating between ethereal synthesizers and fierce explosions of saturated guitar sounds.

Breaking free from the shadows of the past and achieving greater freedom is the meaning of the album title.
Music that moves... the body in motion and the mind subjugated.
