Slow Club Freiburg presents:

WE STOOD LIKE KINGS

The ambassadors of piano-heavy post-rock celebrate their 15th anniversary with a fresh repertoire and their sixth album "Pinocchio", which translates the timeless story of the wooden puppet into music through a dark lens of betrayal, manipulation and power games. Heavier and more direct, this new work marks the band's boldest musical evolution to date, which they themselves refer to as "We Stood Like Kings 2.0".

Since 2011, We Stood Like Kings have skillfully navigated the intersection of post-rock, post-metal, neoclassical music and progressive rock, standing out in the broader alternative music scene for their extensive use of the piano. They have toured Europe extensively, released six albums on the German label Kapitän Platte, created live soundtracks for silent cult films such as Koyaanisqatsi and Berlin: Symphony of a Great City, and offered contemporary interpretations of pieces such as Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and Debussy's Rêverie.

After almost seven years, we are very much looking forward to welcoming We Stood Like Kings back to the Slow Club!
