QUEERHISTORYMONTH

QueerHistoryMonth will take place in Hamburg from May 1 to 31, 2026(www.queerhistoryhamburg.de). Various events as part of the festival will bring the history(ies) of the queer community in Hamburg to life. Everyone is welcome - kings, queers, queens, allies, friends, families (of choice) and everyone in between and beyond!

The event

Fag roulette dice game evening in a cozy pub - no previous knowledge necessary. QUEER HISTORY with games, fun and excitement!

The Piccadilly has been playing the simple but exciting dice game of queer roulette for many decades. The dice board is over 50 years old and has withstood thousands of rolls. Legend has it that Herbert - the heart and soul of Piccadilly - invented the rules of the game at the end of the 1970s with his skittles friends Volker and Holm at 1.75 per mille.

Herbert Wisnewski passed away in 2025. We at Pompös St. Pauli would like to organize a fag roulette tournament in his spirit and memory. The rules are so simple that they can be explained and quickly learned on the evening of the event.

The entry fee of 5 euros includes the six dice required, which you can also take home with you as a souvenir. Of course, you can also bring your own lucky dice.

The Piccadilly opens at 20:00. First come, first served. We will start the first round (of a total of four rounds) at 8:30 pm. By midnight at the latest, the winners will be determined and formally announced.

An evening to play together, swap stories and meet new people - in Hamburg's oldest gay (now more queer) bar!
