QUEERHISTORYMONTH

QueerHistoryMonth will take place in Hamburg from May 1 to 31, 2026(www.queerhistoryhamburg.de). Various events as part of the festival will bring the history(ies) of the queer community in Hamburg to life. Everyone is welcome - kings, queers, queens, allies, friends, families (of choice) and everyone in between and beyond!

The event

Come together, form gangs, play and sing for all you're worth!

Glamor, glitter and confetti. Miss van Biss and bosie M. challenge you to a music bingo!

Fancy an evening full of music, fun and a queer story? Then come to our music bingo with a queer-historical reference!

We'll be playing songs by queer icons and artists who have made history - from David Bowie to Madonna and Freddie Mercury to Lil Nas X. Between the rounds, there will be short, exciting insights into queer music history: Who opened up spaces? Which songs became anthems? And why?

How it works: You get a bingo card with song titles. We play the songs - if you recognize them, you tick them off. A row full? Bingo!

There are great prizes - and of course fame & glory.

Whether you're a music nerd or a casual listener, alone or with friends: Everyone is welcome! No previous knowledge necessary - just a desire for music and a relaxed evening in a nice atmosphere.

Come along, play along, get to know a bit of queer music history along the way and celebrate the diversity on the playlist with us!
