Ratboys have been an integral part of the Chicago indie rock scene since the release of their debut album "AOID" (2015). Since the band, led by singer/guitarist Julia Steiner and guitarist David Sagan, accompanied American indie folk star Julien Baker on their 2022 tour of Germany, they have also gained many fans in this country. With their new album Singin' to an Empty Chair, they present their most emotional and introspective album to date. The eleven new songs combine power pop, Americana and guitar-driven indie to create a sound that is as warm as it is confident.
