read me, city is an interdisciplinary literature and media art project that understands urban city spaces as text surfaces: language appears on billboards, asphalt, walls or LED displays, is documented, shifted and re-contextualized. The Berlin presentation at the Lettrétage is conceived as a literary evening in which performative readings and projections of image and video works intertwine. Spoken texts, urban interventions and digital transformations enter into an open dialog. Writing becomes voice, image becomes text, public space becomes resonance space. A 50-60 minute program of readings and projections will be shown.

Since 2002,.aufzeichnensysteme has designated an interface of literature, visual and auditory art as a concept / authorship of Hanne Römer, author and artist in Vienna since 2000. Studied art history, media studies, printmaking at Philipps University Marburg/Lahn, MA 1997. Publications, radio plays, radio art on Austrian radio / art radio, intermedia projects since 2002. Awarded the Heimrad-Bäcker Prize 2018, Vienna Literature Scholarship 2016, Austrian State Scholarship for Literature 2011.

Augusta Laar lives and works as a poet and artist in Munich and Vienna. She studied musicology and piano in Munich and poetry at the Vienna School of Poetry (as a student of Nick Cave, among others). In addition to classical art fields such as photography, video and drawing, she also works on installations, interdisciplinary and interactive art projects. Her poetry has been published in numerous magazines and anthologies. In 2022, Laar was awarded the Bavarian Culture Prize (Art).

Nika Pfeifer works as a transmedia artist with text, image and performance in Brussels and Vienna. Her works explore language as a visual and conceptual substance in various media. Presentations at the Austrian Cultural Forum NY, flucc Kunstsalon, Srishti at Rangoli Metro Art Center Bangalore, sophiensæle Berlin, WUK Vienna, among others. Publications in nevertheless and springerin. Numerous scholarships (e.g. Austrian Federal Chancellery, City of Vienna) & residencies: Max Kade Arizona, Georgetown University. Interdisciplinary doctorate at the University of Vienna/Lancaster University.

Jörg Piringer lives and works in Vienna. He is a writer, sound artist and computer scientist. He is a founding member of the Institute for Transacoustic Research and the "Vegetable Orchestra". Piringer's work includes numerous performances, sound art works, texts, videos and animations, including datenpoesie (Ritter Verlag 2018), ich/meines/mir/mich (2016), abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz, darkvoice (2019), konsonant and letter singles. 2021 Jörg Piringer received the Media Art Prize of the City of Vienna.
