The young Frenchman Stéphane (Romain Duris) travels through wintry Romania in search of the singer Nova Luca (Mónika Juhász Miczura).
With the help of an old Roma named Izidor (Izidor Serban), he arrives in a village where he meets the beautiful Roma Sabina (Rona Hartner). Stéphane is sure that Izidor will lead him to Nova Luca when the time is right. After several months and initial difficulties between the newcomer and some of the villagers, summer arrives and Stéphane
summer approaches and Stéphane makes an astonishing discovery...
