Growing up in working class Southern California, Death Lens write "stage-dive anthems for the oppressed"

The sources of the multicultural quartet's infectious sound are uncompromising rock, reverb-saturated West Coast surf punk, straightforward Britrock and, of course, the power of hardcore - which also strongly inspires the energy of their live shows.

Smooth guitar sounds and sugary backing vocal harmonies form the basis of their style, but in a room of 200 people it quickly becomes apparent that songs like "Dream State" and "Bombshell" are perfect for stage divas - with the same compelling blend as Turnstile and their tour mates Militarie Gun.

Death Lens signed to Epitaph Records, who will release their next album Cold World. Lyrically, Torres explores his place in the world, examining social injustices, current political tensions and global unrest and his emotional, mental and physical reactions to them. Songs like "Fucked Up", "Nothing's Forever" and "Not Enough" exude a confidence and sense of adventure that show just how settled Death Lens are in their new role as an Epitaph band - culminating in the band delivering by far their best work to date.
