Exhibition by Christian Evers:

Christian Evers is showing works from different phases and series. Despite the thematic diversity, they are united by a common artistic approach: an unmistakable signature that combines dynamism and serenity and focuses on the immediate experience of the moment.

At the heart of her works is the endeavor to make the fleeting visible - movement, sound, light, inner images - and at the same time to allow a quiet space behind the phenomena to be experienced. Whether in reduced ink works, expressive portraits of musicians, imaginary landscapes or architectural motifs, Evers' works arise from the tension between form and emptiness, presence and transience.

The meditative reduction of means plays a central role. Omitted details, open surfaces and a deliberate looseness of line invite the viewer to complement the incomplete with their own perception. This creates a dialog between the work and the viewer, in which external appearance and inner experience intertwine.

Across all series, a multi-layered visual world opens up, oscillating between calm and tension, the familiar and the strange.

selected works is more than an amalgamation of individual series. The exhibition is an invitation to consciously experience the present moment - and to discover in the encounter with art that quiet vitality that lies beyond visible forms.

On Monday, June 1 at 4 p.m., the artist will give a guided tour of his series "Worlds", "In the Spirit of Zen", "Collection Munich-Italy" and "Jazz Series".

Christian Evers is a contemporary painter and draughtsman based in Munich. In addition to painting, Evers works as an illustrator, gives drawing lessons and has been running the sansaro art box in Munich since 2024, an art and culture-promoting non-profit exhibition concept of SUSHIYA GmbH. Since 2023, he has been a recognized artist of the Haboku painting style of the 540-year-old Tenkei Sesshu painting school in Japan. His works can be found in national and international private collections.
