Svante Söderqvist THE ROCKET unites four outstanding Nordic musicians in a sound world in which jazz, folk and classical traditions merge in an impressively natural way. The ensemble consists of Svante Söderqvist (double bass, cello, vocals), Tuulikki Bartosik (accordion), Max Agnas (piano) and Ola Winkler (drums).

The focus is on Svante Söderqvist, who has been one of Sweden's leading jazz bassists for over two decades. His warm tone, his lyrical compositions and his unmistakable blend of jazz improvisation, classical bowing and folk-inspired melodies characterize the ensemble's unique sound. Bartosik is admired for her poetic, expressive folk artistry that adds new shades of color. THE ROCKET expands the jazz format into a cinematic and deeply personal sound.

The concerts in April will present music from the newly released album "Like In the Movies" as well as selected tracks from previous releases. The album has been praised for its strong narrative character and vibrant atmosphere. It is music that unfolds like a series of scenes, characterized by melody, contrast and dynamic interplay. Live, the compositions remain open and flexible, leaving room for improvisation and collective interaction. Each concert becomes a lively interpretation of the music, characterized by the moment and the shared energy between band and audience.
