The100Hands have already performed at the "TANZ! Heilbronn" festival in 2024 with "Matta Matta 2.0" and delighted children and young people at their school performances. This time, they have "Out of the Box" in their luggage - and are not only showing their piece in a school, but also as an open-air performance in Wertwiesenpark! "Out of the Box" is an English phrase that we would equate with "thinking outside the box" in German. Thinking, feeling or acting outside of a prefabricated mold, outside of a rigid box. This box can mean very different things: from baby playpens to conspiracy theories, from your own comfort zone to cage fighting. And with The100Hands? With them, a group of people meet in a life-size box that you can see into from all sides. While one person does everything they can to somehow get into this box and another would like to claim it completely for themselves, another tries to tear down all the boundaries. The audience is spontaneously involved in the performance. With a sequence of athletic dance, visual pauses and acrobatic ideas, "Out of the Box" reflects light-heartedly and touchingly on the tension between 'being a follower' and going one's own way. The box appears in parks, (school) yards, gyms, libraries, theaters and unexpected places - in other words, everywhere it might otherwise exist, especially in our own heads.

Since its foundation in 2014, the dance company The100Hands has been developing an independent, physically interactive dance format with a distinctive style that appeals to audiences of all ages. Based in Breda (NL), the company works sustainably with partners within and outside the arts sector and has a strong local, regional and international network. The100Hands' productions and international co-productions have been presented in Belgium, China, Denmark, Germany, Croatia, the Netherlands, Austria and Sweden. The artistic direction is supported jointly and with great conviction. In addition to the founders Mojra Vogelnik-Škerlj and Jasper Džuki Jelen, the core team also includes Jade van den Hout and Bryan Atmopawiro, who are significantly involved in performances and production processes. Regular artistic collaborations exist with the dancers Alkis Barbas, Myrthe Marchal, Alison Duarte and Nathalie Schmidt as well as with the composer ArthurMusic and the theater designer Esther Sloots.
