After a sold-out concert evening in July 2023 with Jetstream Pony from Brighton, this will be the second appearance at Schokoladen for The BV's from Augsburg.

With their unique mix of indie pop, shoegaze and krautrock, the band has already released three LPs on the indie label "Kleine Untergrund Schallplatten" and has played many concerts and international festivals in recent years. The band is currently working on their fourth album, which will be released in fall 2026.

We.the Pigs from Stockholm will open the evening at Schokoladen with their fantastic fuzzy noisy shoegaze - released on the brilliant Berlin label Dreams Never End. We.the Pigs will be performing live in Berlin for the first time!

For The BV's this gig is also the release show for their remix 12" EP "Warped by ..." (KUS 044). This EP contains a total of 4 remixes by Mark Reeder and Martyn Schmidt and will be available for the first time on this concert evening.

We are delighted that the musician, producer, artist and label owner Mark Reeder will also be there as a DJ. Reeder, once a representative of the legendary Factory Records label from Manchester, is one of the most influential figures in the (West) Berlin underground scene and also cultivated connections to the punk, underground and avant-garde scene in the GDR at the time. His famous documentary "B-Movie: Lust & Sound in West Berlin 1979-1989" is highly recommended. Thanks to his influential label MFS, Mark Reeder has been one of the driving forces behind the electro and techno scene since the 1990s and has also worked as a remixer for New Order, Depeche Mode, Liars, Yello, The KVB etc. for many years.
