THE NEW CONRAD MILLER TRIO (NL)

Influenced by pianists such as Michel Petruciani, Herbie Hancock, Monty Alexander, George Duke, McCoy Tyner and many more. The use of South American rhythms and harmonies in combination with traditional jazz, blues and soul leads to lyrical, impressionistic compositions. They tell stories about the blue waterfalls of Azul, the scent of summer rain, the lazy fisherman of Porta de Galinhas, the August rain in Damascus to rhythms from Mozambique and sonorous silence.

The arrangements are melancholy and cheerful at the same time. Classical harmony and counterpoint paired with energetic, authentic, powerful grooves give the traditional jazz trio a new color and dimension. The albums have been very well received internationally, resulting in fine concerts throughout Germany, Poland and the Benelux countries.

The trio on their 5th album Night Dreamer: "As musicians we live a great part of our life's at night, in the darkest hour. (Like so many of us). This reflects in our music & compositions, as well as in the beautiful cover artwork by Michael Cheval. Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable, and you might get surprised by the Unexpected. A nice phrase a friend sent some years ago as a New Years wish. Kept always resonating in my mind. As a trio we had so much fun and joy while recording this album. Therefore, we hope to spread that positive energy, whenever you hear us playing live, or while listening to our album.
