Tierschutzfest 2026

In the organizer's words:

With the Süderstraße animal shelter, we, the Hamburger Tierschutzverein von 1841 e.V., run the second largest animal shelter in Germany.

Together with you, we would like to celebrate animal welfare at this year's animal welfare festival in good spirits and sunny weather! There will be a children's program with crafts and face painting, delicious vegan food, exciting animal shelter tours and a raffle with great prizes: Books, free tickets for Hamburg cinemas, theaters, festivals and leisure facilities and also high-quality accessories for the four-legged companions* are just a few examples of the prizes at this year's animal protection festival. Also included: our popular flea market and numerous animal welfare organizations that will present themselves and their important work.

We look forward to seeing you, your children, friends and families - and your relaxed dogs, who have no problem with a bit of hustle and bustle, are of course also very welcome!
