Duo GLÄNZ - "Sound of(f)... Movement, Interlude"

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of "Sound of(f)... Movement, Interlude", where movement and sound become a unique narrative! Dagmar Ottmann and Christian Herrmann play with the forces of closeness and distance, creating an intense interplay of approach and retreat. In a captivating duet of dance and body percussion, lively rhythms emerge that fill the room with energy.
Using simple everyday gestures, such as walking, they open up a world in which small movements create large connections. Walking becomes a powerful metaphor for every personal journey, for the search for community and belonging. This poetic interlude takes us into the spaces in between: into the moments of pausing, trying things out and starting anew. How does closeness develop without losing oneself? How does connection grow in the flow of change?

ANNA & MAÉ - 7AM

7AM questions the place of the body in a society that is increasingly blurring individuality. What remains of us when everything pushes us to conform? Covered with hoods, the performers' faces disappear - but their bodies speak clearly.
The hood becomes a filter: it protects and limits at the same time, making us invisible while revealing new forms of presence. This anonymity creates a space of freedom in which the body can free itself from norms.
In powerful, precise movements, the piece explores the tension between control and excess, anonymity and the urge to exist. The body is pushed to excess, the absurd becomes visible: dance as an act of resistance, as a commitment to the living, sensitive and wild body.

LILIT HAKOBYAN - LUCK
"Sometimes things break, and sometimes they get fixed. And most of the time you realize that life rearranges itself in its own way to make up for the loss - sometimes miraculously." - This is the heart of LUCK, a piece that Lilit Hakobyan created especially for the Staatsballett Hannover in June 2024.
LUCK is about the complexity of friendships - a topic that is particularly close to the choreographer's heart. "For me, friendships are much more complex than romantic relationships. While I was choreographing this piece, I was going through a difficult time with my friends. It was created from the bottom of my heart," she says. The piece is a reflection on how friendships are nurtured and how important it is to trust the universe: That the right people will find their way back to you, even if the connection was previously broken. With intense, powerful movements, Hakobyan brings the process of healing and reconciliation to life.
