True Loves

Experiencing the instrumental funk and soul band True Loves from Seattle is like taking a stroll through your favorite neighborhood: you hit the streets with friends, chat with the shopkeepers in their stores and admire your sun-bright reflection in the shop windows. The band itself is like a big block party.

What began in 2014 as a jam session between drummer David McGraw, bassist Bryant Moore and guitarist Jimmy James has since developed into an internationally acclaimed formation. Today, the band also includes percussionist Iván Galvez, trombonist Greg Kramer and saxophonists Gordon Brown and Skerik. With their energetic live shows, True Loves have earned themselves an excellent reputation and collected millions of streams on YouTube.

In 2017, the band recorded their debut album Famous Last Words, which received worldwide acclaim and earned them appearances at prestigious music festivals. The second album Sunday Afternoon followed in 2021. In 2024, True Loves released the single Good Weed and Red Wine and then went on their second European tour. Another single, Dopus No. 1, was released in January 2025; both songs were released together on a 7-inch vinyl on Valentine's Day of the same year.
