Which places of cultural memory shape our public perception - and which do not? Accompanying the current special exhibition "Auschwitz, Footnotes", this evening will focus on the debate surrounding the visibility of historical sites in Hamburg. Actors from various well-known and lesser-known places in Hamburg will discuss the challenges for historiography and commemorative culture as well as civil society forms of commemoration and dealing with the past.
