Wanderjahre ohne Lehre - Siegfried Lenz's radio broadcasts about East Prussia and Masuria, flight and expulsion

Siegfried Lenz not only created literary monuments to his homeland, but also devoted himself to the loss of his homeland and the fate of expulsion in numerous radio plays, radio episodes and features. Dr. Hans-Ulrich Wagner (Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans Bredow Institute, Hamburg) sheds light on Siegfried Lenz's early displaced persons and East Prussian broadcasts in the context of his biographical and literary development. He will show how important media work was for writers in the Federal Republic of Germany.

An event organized by the German-Polish Society Hamburg in cooperation with the St. Nikolai Memorial and the German Cultural Forum for Eastern Europe.
